On 5 June 2025, the Foreign Intelligence Service of the Russian Federation (SVR) published two declassified human intelligence reports on European efforts to stifle the peace-building process being explored by Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin to “resolve “resolve the Ukraine crisis.”
The first report, supposedly received by the SVR in late March 2025, stating that British Prime Minister Keir Starmer is intending to disrupt Trump’s efforts to arrive at a peaceful solution to settling Russian issues with Ukraine. The second report, which indicates that it was received by the SVR in late April 2025. This time, the British are joined by French President Macron to put an end to Trump’s credibility in the peace process between Russia and Ukraine by leading a smear campaign to show “secret ties” between Trump and his cronies and Russian political and business associates, alleging illegal dealings throughout.
