On 11 August 2025, the Russian Federation Ministry of Defense filed three maritime closure areas that encompass the Arctic Ocean, Barents Sea, Kara Sea, and Cheshskaya Guba to ensure safe lanes for missile launches from 18 to 20 August, with a local time window of 1300-2100 GMT each day.
While the Russian-issued advisory offered no information on the missile type to be expected, a quick use of standard mapping tools suggests that the missiles could reach target(s) approximately 1700 km downrange.

Area A is situated east of Franz Josef Land in the Arctic Ocean, Area B finds itself northwest of the Novaya Zemlya archipelago, and Area C is in Cheshskaya Guba off the eastern coast of Kanin Peninsula.
The graphics below show all three areas of interest together (A, B, and C, per the advisory, above), and separately. The last graphic shows the approximated maximum range possible within the given coordinates.
